How it works

From your file to verifiable proof

Copyright protects your work from the moment you create it. The hard part in a dispute is proving when it existed. N1X creates independent, cryptographic evidence of that moment in under a minute.

  1. STEP 1

    Fingerprint

Your browser computes a SHA-256 hash of the file. Only this fingerprint is needed — the work itself can stay private on your device.

  2. STEP 2

    Time-lock

Our server records the exact moment in UTC from an NTP-synchronised clock and notes its health. You also see the time in IST.

  3. STEP 3

    Sign

The hash, time and receipt ID are signed with our Ed25519 key. Any change to these fields invalidates the signature.

  4. STEP 4

    Chain

The issuance is appended to a hash-chained audit log. Past entries cannot be altered without breaking the chain.

  5. STEP 5

    Certify

You receive a Certificate of Prior Existence (PDF) with the hash, UTC and IST time, signature and a verification QR code.

  6. STEP 6

    Verify

Anyone — a client, platform, lawyer or court — can verify the receipt online, free, by ID, QR code or by re-hashing the original file.
